THE REDUCED BONUS.

FREEZING WORKERS RESTLESS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. It was expected by some of the freezing works in Canterbury that there was a likelihood of the slaughtermen not resuming work this morning, as ■ a protest against the reduction in the bonus. As far as can be ascertained, general trouble has not eventuated, though several companies had made arrangements for the disposal of stock in transit to the works m the event of the men deciding to cease work.
