BONUS CUT RESENTED.
FREEZING WORKERS ON STRIKE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. Trouble has arisen at the Burnside freezing works, about 40 slaughtermen and other workers ceasing work to-day. The men held a meeting at midday today and at the conclusion they gave notice to the management that they would not resume work unless the full bonus was paid. At the South Otago works, at Balclutha, the men have been leaving one hy one, and there are now only half a dozen left. They, too, are agrieved at the bonus reduction.
