GENEROSITY NOT POSSIBLE. By Telegraph.—'Press Association. Dunedin, May 30. The Premier received a number of local deputations. Replying to the chairman of Vincent County Council, who drew his attention to the rents of pastoral runs, Mr. Massey said “I am not going to part with a shilling at present. I have the whole country telling me that we ought to make the accounts balance. We are losing two millions this year in income-tax and nothing can save it.”
