HUNTING.

OPENING MEET TO-DAY. The North Taranaki Hunt will hold their opening meet to-d&y at Mr. F. Sampson's, Sentry Hill, when a pleasant day’s outing may be looked forward to. The pack is in excellent condition, and the Messrs. Sampson have arranged with the adjoining formers for the use of their country, and all fences have been well sparred. Apart from this, a series of hurdles have been erected close to the homestead, where spectators will have the advantage of witnessing some good jumping. Mrs. and Mr. Sampson have more than a reputation for hospitality, and huntsmen and visitors may look forward to a splendid welcome.
