DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP. AT PALMERSTON NORTH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The council of the New Zealand Golf Association definitely decided to-night to hold the next championship tournament at Palmerston North, to commence on Monday, Septeunber 11. As regards the qualifying rounds of the amateur championship, it was decided that the whole four rounds of the open championship should be also the qualify Ing rounds for the amateur championship, the best sixteen to qualify, the play-off to be thirty-six holes. Entries for the amateur championship are to be strictly limited to sixty-four, and no competitor whose middle handicap is unore than eight may enter.
