RETURNS DURING MARCH. ANOTHER GROWTH IN REVENUE. The tramways revenue for March again shows an increase as compared with the corresponding month for lp2l. The increase is and the additional passengers carried 112,271. The statistical returns for the month are; Main route. —Passengers carried, 161,117: fares, £lBOO 0s lid. Morley Street.—Passengers carried. 14,383; fares. £lOO Ils 46. Combined routes. —Passengers carried, 175,500; fares, £l9OO 12s 3d. Work in connection with ear overhauling, etc., is proceeding satisfactorily, although progress has been somewhat slower during this month, on account of additional work being necessary repairing cars damaged bf collisions. The system generally is operating satisfactorily.
ELECTRIC ’BUS SERVICE
The returns for the month show that 12,644 passengers were carried as follow: Westown 6870, Frankley Road 741, Vogeltown 5033. The month’s working shows an increase of £lO 9s Sd, and 1907 additional passengers have ganied.
