FALL FROM TRAIN.
A YOUNG MAN’S DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Levin, Last Night. An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Harry Forbes Prain, aged 28, employed in the Pensions Department, Wellington, and a returned soldier. The evidence showed that deceased, his brother and a companion were standing on a platform on the evening train from Palmerston North last night, the train being crowded. Near Tokomaru the two latter heard the sound of a body falling, and they missedPrain, who subsequently was found under a bridge, dead. It is presumed a gate on the platform was left open at Tokomaru, and that deceased went to lean on it. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
