A CAVE FORMING. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, April 18. The Herald says: “The life of the Coalition Government does not promise to be a rosy one. Already there are murmurs of dissension within the ranks and a cave is forming with the expressed object of keeping the Government up to the collar. The cave consists of a number of selfstyled Protestant members, including some prominent Nationalists, who are anxious for the Government to carry out the promises made by certain members in regard to Government inspection of denominational charitable institutions making the ne temere decree illegal and other similar matters. Also while the Progressive Party has decided to give a sort of general support to the Government there are elements within it which wish to make its life as unpleasant as possible. FIRST MEETING OF CABINET. Sydney, April 18. The new Cabinet holds its first meeting to-day and probably will decide to open Parliament on the 26th, when the Speaker will be appointed. The question of the Agent-General will also be discussed early. Mr. Holman’s name is connected with the post, but the former -Premier is not popular with the National organisation.
