THE DAVIS CUP. AUSTRALIANS SELECTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Sydney, April 12. J. Anderson, G. Patterson, G. P. O’Hara Wood, and J. B. Hawkes have been selected for the Davis Cup. Brookes, N. Peach, and C. Todd are not available. Anderson and Patterson are both going to Wimbledon, picking up the Osteriey at Melbourne. An exhibition of singles and doubles matches has been arranged for Saturday. FISHER DEFEATED. Received April 12. 8.10 p.m. London, April 11. At the Queen’s Club covered courts, in the fourth round, T. Lowe defeated F. M. B. FiSter 6—4, 6—2, 6—2. SCHOOLS’ CHAMPIONSHIP. In the final of the Taranaki ‘schools’ championship yesterday between Ballantyne and Christie, both of the New Plymouth Boys’ High School, Ballantyne won 6—2, 6—4.
