DANISH LABOR TROUBLES.
GOVERNMENT TERMS ACCEPTED. AFTER LENGTHY NEGOTIATIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received April 6, 5.5 p.m. Copenhagen. April 5. Following on protracted negotiations, the employers and trade unionists have accepted the Government’s terms for ending the lock-out. [A cable on February 12 stated that the Conciliation Board’s proposals for mediation in the dispute as to hours and wages was rejected, by both employers and employees. The Danish Employers’ Association will now declare a lock-out starting on the 14th., affecting 199,000 men. The prospective struggle is described as proportionately the greatest ever seen in any country. An astonishing feature of the. plebiscite was that only half the eligible workers voted, four-fifths of whom opposed mediation.]
