ENTERTAINMENTS.

CONCERT PROGRAMME FOR SCOUTS. At the Empire Theatre to-morrow night an entertainment will be held in aid of the North Taranaki District Association Boy Scout funds. The advertised programme shows that the promoters have arranged a varied and. attractive programme, which should be a further incentive to the public to assist a worthy cause. Among the instrumentalists who will contribute items is Mr. Allan E. Martin, the well-known banjo player. Mr. Martin is a musician of wide experience and he toured with the Cherniavsky family. Since taking up residence in New Plymouth he has appeared at public functions sufficiently to give his audiences a keen appreciation of his items. The programme includes vocal items by Mrs. C. E. Ferry, Miss Loveridge, Messrs. A. Brooker and P. Tunbridge, dancing items by Misses J. Rae and H. George, and violin solos by Mr. Rupert George. Children’s items are also to be staged.
