TARANAKI LAND BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held on Wednesday and Thursday, the 22nd and 23rd instants,. Present: Messrs. H. J. Lowe (chairman), S. Blake, C. J. Ryan, and J. W. H. Martin. The application by W. G. Wilson for a homestead site in block XV, Pouatn, was adjourned for inspection. The following transfers were approved: —Section 17, block 111, Waimate, Robertson and Young to D. Meier; section 18, block 111, Waimate, Robertson and Young to Thos. Barr; lot F, part section W, town of New Plymouth, L. H. Tichbon to K. J. Flans-burgh-Wash bourne; section 2, block 111, Waro, Scott Bros, to A. M. McLarin; section 3, block VIII, Omona, L, and A. A. Bunn to A. H. Phillips and A. A. Bunn.

The following transfers were referred to Wellington:—Section 1, block IV, Rangi, B. M‘Master to N. and -I. M’Master; section 2, block 11, Tangitu, A. R. Clark to L. Crosby; section 5, block V, Totoro. H. E. Fellingham to G. Fellingham and O. N. Hawke; section 10, block I, Rangi, G. Parker to H. A. AFGovern; part section 1, block I. Totoro, E. Selby to J. Boddy. Plans and specifications for a proposed residence on lot D, reserve IT, New Plymouth Town Belt, were approved. The awards of the arbitrator, in the matter of the renewal of E.R. leases of section 13, block 1, Ngatimani and lot 2, section 5, block IX, Ngatimaru, were, received. Mr. A. Good was appointed valuer to assess a. new rental for a lease of Education, Reserve section 6, blocK XII, Hawera . Proposals for the expenditure of “thirds” by the Stratford and Clifton County Councils were approved subject to’the approval of the ranger. Resolved to otter section la, block T Rangi, 349 acres, for selection at £3 per acre. . Fifty-seven applications under the Discharged Soldiers Settlements Acts were considered, and of these one application under section 2 was recommended; five applications to were recommended and two deferre , 23 applications for stock w , jnended and one deferred
