The Near East conference decided that if Turkey accepts the proposals she should be admitted to the League of Nations. The proceedings at the conference are being conducted id the greatest secrecy, but it is believed it is considering the protection of minorities and the Dardanelles question. It is not believed Britain intends to interfere in any religious settlement, which will be left to the parties concerned.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
