SUICIDE AT SEA.

* INCIDENT ON CORINTHIC. An unfortunate incident, which occurred at about 2 p.m. on March 10, when the Shaw-Savill liner Corinthic was travelling across the Pacific Ocean, marred an otherwise enjoyable voyage. From information supplied by the officers, it appears that, without giving the slightest warning of his intention, a fireman, Charles Watt, jumped overboard. A lifebuoy, which was immediately thrown into the sea, was observed to fall close to the man, and, although the vessel was hove-to and a boat lowered in 11 minutes, the efforts to recover the body proved fruitless.
