The New Zealand championship regatta took ’nee to-day on the Wanganui river in fine ther and before a large crowd. Results: — Maiden Fours.—Canterbury 1, Wanganui (Union) 2, Wanganui 3. Also started: Wellington, Wellington Star, Aramoho, Clifton, Petone. . Won by ten lengths. Junior Double Sculls.—Christchurch Union 1, Wellington 2, Wanganui Union 3. Also started: Aramoho, Wanganui. A close finish. Champion Fours.—Wanganui Union 1, Wairau 2, Hamilton 3. Also started: Waitemata. Union led all the waj’ and won by six lengths. Maiden Sculls.—Wanganui Union 1, Aramoho 2, Wellington 3. Also started: Clifton, Wanganui, Canterbury, West End. Won comfortably. Yout’s’ Fours.—Wellington 1, Wanganui Union 2, Whangarei 3. A fine race. Won by three-quarters of a length.. Champion Single Sculls, one mile and a half.—Wanganui Union (A. Sharpe) 1, Wellington (C. G. Wilson) 2. easily by three lengths. Junior Fours.—Wanganui Union 1, Aramoho 2. Wanganui and Star had mishaps. Won by six lengths. Junior Single Sculls.—Aramoho 1, Wanganui Union 2, Wanganui 3. Also started: Clifton and Manawatu. The winners led all the way. Champion Pairs.—Six started, and a slashing race between Wanganui Union and Avon was marred just at the finish by a bad foul. Christchurch Union got home first, but the umpire has ordered the race to be re-rowed. Maiden Double Sculls.—Wanganui Union 1, Aramoho 2, Wellington 3. Also started: Wanganui. Won by ten lengths, quarter of a length between second and third. Junior Clinker Fours.—Wellington Star 1, Christchurch Union 2, Wanganui Union 3. Also started: Wanganui, Clifton, Hamilton, Whangarei. Won by three lengths. Champion Double Sculls.—Wanganui Union (Sharpe Bros) 1, Hamilton 2, Avon 3. Also started: Wellington, Christchurch Union, Aramoho. Won by twelve lengths. . Maiden Pairs.—Canterbury 1, Wellington 2, Wanganui Union 3. Won by six lengths. Aramoho and Star did not finish. Maiden Fours.—North Shore 1, Star 2, Aramoho 3. Also started: Wanganui Union and Wanganui, z A good finish. Won by a length and a half.
