The Daily Chronicle states that while rumors are still afloat as to the attempted wheat corner inquiries show that the recent increases in wheat prices are due to an increased Continental demand, and the fact that owing to bumper crops being world-wide prices have ‘slumped too rapidly and are too low, with the result that the pendulum has now swung in the other direc-tion.—Aus.-N.Z.
