THE PRINCE IN INDIA.
VISIT TO A NATIVE STATE. PICTURESQUE CEREMONIES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received March 3. 7.35 p.m. Delhi, March 2. The Prince of Wales has arrived at Salivari on a one day visit to the Maharajah of Jammu and Kashir. His intention to visit the tity itself was abandoned owing to a small outbreak of plague, and the Royal camp is pitched seven miles away. The ceremonials included a full-dress Durbar, a State banquet and grand illuminations. All the functions were marked by a lavish and picturesque display and the people’s reception was most cordial. —Reuter Service.
