WAR CRIMINALS.
PERMITTED TO ESCAPE. By Telegraph.—Preu Assn.—-copyright. London, Feb. 27. Advices from Berlin state that Boldt and Dittmar, two U-boat commanders convicted by the Leipsig Court, have escaped to Sweden from Swinemunde. In the House of Commons, questioned regarding the escape, the AttorneyGeneral stated that the Government had -strongly protested' to Germany, •which had given assurances that every step possible would be taken to secure the re-arrest of the prisoners, but hitherto no information had been received that they had been re-arrested.
