THE BRITISH POLICY. CO OPERATION OF EGYPTIANS. By Telezranb.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received Feb. 19, 5.5 p.m. London, Feb. 17. The Daily Chronicle suggests that the protectorate of Egypt should be abolished and a new Egyptian Government with an Assembly set up in Britain could then negotiate a settlement with the new Government, including the question of the Soudan and the control of Egypt and foreign relations. The Chronicle adds that as the result of the conferences with the Government Lord Allenby (High Commissioner in Egypt) is returning to Egypt in com pie to agreement with the British policy. He will attempt to secure the co- , operation of the Egyptians, but the text of the new proposals will not be published until Lord Allenby has reached Cairo.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
