Received Feb. 16, 11.5 p.m. Sydney, Feb. 16. The thirteenth series of wool sales opened to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was keen. Merino super combings realised 33fd —a record. WHEAT CARGOES. Received Feb. 16, 7.35 p.m. London, Feb. 15. Wheat cargoes are quiet and rather easier on reselling pressure. Quotations: Baron Polwarth, 54s 74d; Greldon re-sol i, 55s 9d (both Tuesday); Kalfarli, 54s 3d. Parcels quiet at 6d to Is decline; JanuaryFebruary quoted at 54s 6d; a Neotefields parcel re-sold at Liverpool at 56s _6d. TALLOW AND WHEAT. Received Feb. 16, 5.5 p.m. London, Feb. 15. At the tallow sales 2308 casks were offered and 2213 sold. Good fine mutton was unchanged. Others advanced a shilling. Quotations: Mutton, 42s 3d and 39s 6d; beef, 43s and 395. Wheat freights are hardening, owing to a scarcity of steamer tonnage. Freights were fixed for February-March at 52s 6d, but owners are now asking 53s 9d. COLONIAL ISSUES. Received Feb. 16, 5.5 p.m. London, Feb. 15. All the recent Colonial issues are quoted at large premiums. Commonwealth, 755; New South Wales, 60s; South Australian, 92s 6d. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. AUCKLAND SHARE MARKET. Auckland, Last Night. Sales on the Stock Exchange to-day were: War Loan, 1938, £BB 10s; New Zealand Insurance, 27s 3d; Auckland Gas, 20s 9d; Refrigerating (contrib.), 13s. LONDON WOOL MARKET. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date 14th instant: "May wool sales: Arrivals up to February 6 will be included.” . _
