AWAITS JAPAN’S APPROVAL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright New York, Jan. 24. The New York Times’ Washington correspondent learns authoritatively that a Five-Power Naval T-eaty has been completely drafted with the* exception of Article 19.
The Japanese delegation accented the proposal that Bonin Islands fortifications should be maintained in status quo. All that is necessary now is Tokio’s approval, which is expected at any moment. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable A>-.a.
