MAGISTRATE’S COURT. i (From Our Own Correspondent.) Jan. 23. Mr. A. M. Mowlem, S.M., presided at a sitting of the Eltham Magistrate’s’* 2Court to-day. Arnold Hickey, charged with driving a motor car over an intersection at Kaponga at an excessive speed, was fined £2 and 7s costs. Arthur Edward Denham, on a similar charge, was fined £2 and 7s costs. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following cases: James R. Boyd v. E. Moult, £4 10s 6d (costs £1 os 6d); Eltham County Council v. John Edward Southam and Robert Gilbert Walker, £4O 14s 3d (costs £5 14s Gd) ; Charles Bracer v. Archie Cameron, £1 6s (costs 16s) ; Ira J. Bridger v. Fred Hook. £2 19s 6d (costs £1 3s <>d) ; Joseph Taylor v. F. H. Pennington. £1 19s 4d (costs 19s); same v. H. Lockley, £4 8s lOd (costs £1 10s 6d). Land agents’ licenses were granted to Messrs. W. J. Tristram and M. McGarry.
