(From Our Own Correspondent.) Mr. F. T. Old. local manager for the Taranaki Farmers’ Co-op., has received notice of transfer to the Stratford bianch. where he will manage the produce department. Mr. Old has been in Kaponea for two Years, and expects to leave for Stratford in a fortnight’s time. The Kaponga Town Board met on Ti’o-(b>v 17th inst. The principal business dealt with was the fixing of the weekly half-holiday for this year. A number of the business men of the town wish to revert to Thursday, while others desire to keep to Saturday. The board decided to refer the matter to the Chamber of Commerce to make a recommendation to the board at a later meeting.
