Madamoiselle Jung, who promises to become a second Lenglen, beat Miss Ryan 6—3, 6—4, in the ladies’ final at Cannes.’ In the Cannes tennis finals F. M. B. Fisher and H. Hunt, the Australian, beat S. Hardy, the American, and A. W. Myers 6—3, 6—i2, 4—6, 6—4. Fishei and Miss Ryan beat Aeschliman and Mrs. O’Neill 6—2, 6—o Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. , SOUTH TARANAKI MATCHES. A tennis tournament was held at Manaia bn Saturday, between Hawera B and Manaia, and resulted in a win for Hawera by 7 sets. The total scores were: Hawera 13 sets and Manaia 6 sets. Refreshments were provided during the afternoon, which were much appreciated. . rn , The King -Edward Park Tennis Uuo defeated the Patea Tennis Club, at L«awera, on Saturday, by 11 sets to 6, ana 108 games to 109.
