BOWLING.
DOMINION TOURNAMENT, delayed by weather. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The pairs competition in the Dominion bowling tournament was commenced on all the city greens this morning, the first round being completed by mid-day. The second roujid was finished shortly after three o’clock, but when play was resumed after an interval heavy rains set in and play had to be abandoned for the day when the players were in the middle of the third round. Play w’ill be resudied td-morrow morning if weather permits. The weather appears to have settled wet for the night. TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. RECORD ENTRIES. The Taranaki Bowling Centre has received a total of 67 entries for its annual tournament, which starts on January 23. This constitutes a record in the history of the centre. Wlith one or two exceptions all the clubs affiliated .to the Taranaki Bowling Centre will be represented;' also the Wanganui, St. John’s, Gonville, Westbourne, Rapanui (Wanganui), Masterton, Hunterville, Taihape, Island Bay (Wellington) clubs: The New Plymouth, Fitzroy, West End and. Vogel town greens will all* be occupied.
