The newspapers give much spa.ee to reviewing the chances of the contestants of the Cook-Carpentier fight. They mostly favor Carpentier, who is in splendid condition, never having trained harder for any fight. Emphasis is laid on Cook’s strength and capacity to take punishment, but they question his skill and hitting power compared with Carpentier. [The fight was fixed to take place in London last night. The result and details will be published in to-morrow’s Daily News.J
