NEW RAILWAY.
1 PREMIER DRIVES AN ENGINE. By Telegraph.—Press Assoclatloa. Auckland, Last Night. The Waiukn-Paenata railway was officially opened to-day by Mr. Massey. Others present included the Hon. J. G. Coates, Sir William Fraser, Sir Wm. Henries, and a number of members of Parliament. There was a crowd of two thousand present to see the Premier drive an engine through a ribbon stretched across the line.
