PRICE OF BUTTER.

ANOTHER REDUCTION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Jan. 5. The wholesale price of butter in Wellington will be reduced to-day to Is Id. This gives the producers a little better than a parity with the London market. In New Plymouth the prices were reduced when business was resumed on WedgLr nesday after the holidays, and this coi»f modity is now being retailed at Is 6d Bw pats and Is 5d for bulk, and no reduetioii beyond that has been notified locally. A prominent retailer stated yesterday, however, that the market was so uncertain that it was almost impossible to tell from day to day what the price would be, and a further decline would not cause surprise.
