WELLINGTON TOURNAMENT. TARANAKI SUCCESSES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. The Wellington provincial lawn tennis championship meeting was practically concluded to-day. In the men’s singles Andrews (Palmerston North) defeated Lampe in the final, 5 6—4, 6—2. Men’s Doubles.—Dickie and Wallace (Taranaki) defeated Walker and Powdrell 6 12—10, 6—3. Combined Doubles.—Mrs. Melody and Wallace beat Miss Howe and Howe, 6—l, 6—l. The final of the ladies’ singles and the ladies’ doubles will be played to-morrow.
