Received Jan. 2, 7.5 p.m. Adelaide, Jan. 1. - A sub-committee appointed by the Australasian Athletic Conference reported that New Zealand should be exempted from further participation in ’the series of Australasian championships, with a view to the sumtrtuttott or biennial houne-and-homo contests between New Zealand and combined Australasian teams. The sub-committee also recommended relay rax?es of half-mile, quarter-mile, and 220 yards be added to the programme. Ti e committee's recommendations were adopted. It was also decided that the executive should take action in communicating with the different sporting bodies with a view to holding Australasian Olympic games. THE SECOND DAY. FURTHER RESULTS. Rouse (Victoria) outclassed the opposition in the hammer throw (120 ft. 10in.), beating the local Olsson by thirty-one feet. In the high jump Harbison (Sydney) cleared sft. 10»4in. stylishly.
