NATIONAL MUTUAL LIFE
A PROFITABLE YEAR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, ,Dec. 21. The manager for New Zealand for the National Mutual Life Association has received the following cable message from the head office, Melbourne:— “The fifty-second annual general meeting of members was held to-day. The new business for the year is very satisfactory. Over 14,000 policies, insuring over five and a half million sterling, were issued. The total income for the year, including interest and premiums, amounted to over two and a half millions. The sum of one million four hundred thousand has been added to the funds, which now total over fifteen millions. The interest earned on the average funds, after deducting income tax, was £5 4s 5d per cent.—Published by arrangement.
