GRAVE CHARGES
ALLEGED EXECUTION OF SOLDIERS, By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Received Dec. 22, 12.10 Washington, Dec. 20. The New York Times’ Washingtoncorrespondent states former service men, testifying before the hearing of Senator Watson’s charges of illegal executions of soldiers in France, swore they had seen numerous soldiers hanged without trial. Officers shot down mea during petty quarrels, or sent them without gas masks into battle. One soldier testified that he saw twelve executions in one camp, and could produce twenty-eight comrades to corroborate this.—Aus.-NJ£. Cable Assn.
