BOXING.
THE INGLEWOOD TOURNAMENT. THURSDAY NIGHT’S FIXTURE. As the date approaches for the box'ing tournament which is to take place at Inglewood, the interest increases, and there should be a very large attendance at the Town Hall on Thursday night. Both Greaves and Graham, the participants in the 15-round professional contest, have made many friends m Inglewood, and opinion is divided as to their chances. The concensus of opinion points to * the bout being an even one, and it will probably go the full distance, as each boxer is fit and possesses a good knowledge of the science of the game. The five preliminaries, in which several local amateurs will be seen in action, are also arousing considerable attention, and some good, clean bouts can be relied on. Mr. A. Maxwell, of Wellington, who is to act as referee, is well known in Taranaki, where he was a prominent performer in the ring. The box plan is now open at Sutherlands.
