CHARGE AGAINST LAWYER.
ALLEGED THEFT OF FUNDS, i By Telegraph.— Press Association. Auckland, Dec. 8. Arthur Cracknell, charged with the theft of £3OOO, the moneys of Oliver Reed, further remanded to-day till December 15. On an application for reduced bail, Detective Mcllveney said he must oppose a reduction as there were other charges pending. The total defalcations would run into £20,000. Mr. Poynton, S.M., reduced the bail to two sureties of £5OO each, on the condition that accused reports to the police daily.
