DAIRY FACTORIES.
INCREASED OUTPUT. On the 20th inst. the Hawera Dairy Company will be making a final payment of per lib. for <butter-fat for the 1920-21 season, and with the ordinary monthly payments the total amount distributed to suppliers on the date mentioned will be £35,000. For the month of October the quantity of milk received at the company’s factories was 7,265,801 ib, representing 266.531 lb of butter-fat and 740,068 lib of cheese. The figures for October last year were: Milk 6,091,786 lb, butter-fat’224.162 lb, and cheese 612'746 lb. For the month nf October the milk supply for the Eltham Dairy Company was 8,504,9091 b., in addition to wfilcii 73011 b. of separated cream was received, representing altogether 322,3531 b. of butter-fat. The increase for the four months ending October 31 compared with the same period of last year was 4,032.5871 b. of milk, representing Jv4,6341 b. of butter-fat. The available October figures -for other factories, with the figures for the corresponding month of last year in parentheses are: ' Kaupokonui.—Milk 9,086,7331 b. (8.218,3031 b.), butter-fat 341,4781 b. (303£691b.) Riverdale—Milk 2,672,8451 b. (2,496.6271 b.), butter-fat 97,37'61b. (85,1941 b. 618,8161b. (299,119), butter-fat 21,0071 b. (10,585). Normanby. —Milk 1,748.0091 b. (1,723,SO4), butter-fat 63,5051 b. (62,370). Meremere.—Milk 1,076,8521 b. (907,489), butter-fat 38,2451 b. (30,789). Ararata-.—Milk 1,012,2321 b. (737,195), butter-fat 36,1701 b. (25,915). Mells and Whakamara. —Milk 1,574,3141 b. (1.188,800), butter-fat 57,0731 b. (42,320).—5tar.
