DISMISSAL TOO SEVERE. By Telegraph —Press Association. Wellington, Last Nighty The report of the Board of Appeal, in the cases of Nalder, Rich and Eilers, of the State coal mine office, Christchurch, and Gapper, of the Audit Department, whose dismissal was recommended by the Assistant Public Service Commissioner, allows the appeal in each case. The board concurs with the Assistant Commissioner’s findings, but looks upon the penalty of dismissal as too severe, and suggests the infliction of a less severe punishment.
