Thev eulogise Chaulmoogra oil, with which leprosy is cured at the Hawaiian leper station at Molokai. A hundred and forty;four lepers have been released since the' oil was first used 2% years ago. It is also stated that two novel methods of treating the waste product* ■from sugar cane were brought to their notice. A distilling plant is turning out 1000 gallons of pure fuel alcohol daily from, megrass. It is claimed that the fuel is produced at one-fifth the cost of gasoline, another by-product being manufactured into coarse paper.
