CURING LEPROSY.
WITH A SPECIAL OIL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrigl't. Sydney, Nov. 30. Delegates to the World's Press Conference have returned from Honolulu. Thev eulogise Chaulmoogra oil, with which leprosy is cured at the Hawaiian leper station at Molokai. A hundred and forty;four lepers have been released since the' oil was first used 2% years ago. It is also stated that two novel methods of treating the waste product* ■from sugar cane were brought to their notice. A distilling plant is turning out 1000 gallons of pure fuel alcohol daily from, megrass. It is claimed that the fuel is produced at one-fifth the cost of gasoline, another by-product being manufactured into coarse paper.
