The crew are under surveillance.—Reuter. Received Nov. 25, 12.30 a.m. Sydney, Nov. 24. The Commonwealth Bank confirms the theft of the Sonoma’s gold. Besides the five stolen, ten other boxes were shipped, each containing £5OOO The gold was shipped only twenty minutes before the steamer left, and was locked in the strongroom in the presence of the bank's and ship’s officials, so there is no possibility that the robbery occurred in Sydney.
