The prosecution’s opening statement reviewed the events of the hotel party at which Miss Rappr met her death, declaring it was proposed to show that accused not only assaulted Miss Rappp. but tort '.’red her inde=eribably. The judge announced that the jury jrouM be locked up throughout the ease. Arbuckle said: “I am satisfied with &p jury and am glad there are women it. Another doctor, who performed the first autopsr. admitted that the rupture of an infernal organ might have been caused by violence.
