A LIBEL ACTION.

LONDON NEWSPAPER SUED. By TelPgraph—Press Assn —Copyright Received Nov. 16, 7.35 p.m. London, Nov. 15An interesting libel action has opened. William Watson, chairman of the North London Unemployed Council, is suing the Duke of Northumberland and the Morning Post in connection with articles entitled “A Bolshevik Plot in England.” published in August, 1920, which accused Watson of forming Soviets in Britain and corrupting many Irish soldiers. Cross-examined, Watson admitted he received 60s weekly in 1918 for furnishing Scotland Yard with reports on the Bolshevik movement in Britain, but said he did not mean to he a spy; he only gave the police twaddle. \\ atson also admitted he met emissaries of the Russian Soviets in London. —Aus.-N.Z.
