SOUTH AFRICAN TEAM. By Telegraph —Press Assn —Copyright. Capetown, Nov. 3. The South African team for the first test is: Taylor, Zuieh, Nourfte, Blalcenburg, Chapman, Ling, Nupen, Ward. Mnrex, Carter, Fi-ank. HARBOR BOARD CLUB. A meeting of the Harbor Board employees was held last evening, when the following officers were elected in connection with the i recently formed cricket club: Patron, Mr. New- j ton King (chairman of the Harbor Board) ; 1 president, Mr. Ldwson; vice-presidents, Cap- | tain Waller, Captain McMahon. Messrs. C E ! Bellringer. D. ,T. Hughes, G. Lomas and Sin- > clair: selection committee, Messrs. G. Casey,; T. Casey and R. Galbraith; secretary and : treasurer, Mr. T. Casey. Subscriptions from 16 | playing and 23 non-playing members were handed in. It was decided to join the Cricket Association and apply for fixtures in the B grade competition. The club has two or three old players in its ranks, and the younger members are showing considerable enthusiasm at practice, and should do fairly well in the B grade. Last Saturday, at two hours’ notice, they took tho place of the watersiders’ team and put.up a good fight against the M estern Park team.
