FOGH’S THRILLING RECEPTION. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, Nov! 1. The American Legion Convention in Kansas City gave Marshal Foch a thrilling reception. In the course of his speech. Marshal Foch. said: “The greatest honor of my life was leading the American army along the road to victory in 19>18. 'More than 75,000 of your brothers are buried in France, Your French brothers-in-arms will watch over them and give the glory to you who survive them.” General Pershing declared: “The hope of the future lies in the coming Washington Conference of nations, who have become impoverished by the enormoua loss of life and material wealth. The problems must be courageously faefcd. A wise solution demands the same loyalty and patriotism and imposes the same obligations that brought about victory in the war.”
