The latter are refusing to accept bills of lading without guarantees that the wool has actually been loaded. WANGANUI WOOL SALE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Oct. 20. The fdtirth wool sale of the season was held this morning. There were 4000 bales offered, but very few good lots; most of the catalogue comprising back-country wool. Competition was keen throughout for fleece Wool, most of the offering being taken by Bradford. CrutchIngs, pieces and iambs were slow of sale. Compared with Wellington, prices were oh a par for fleece, but lambs’ and crutehings were easier. INGLEWOOD SALE, (From OUr Own Correspondent.) The weather oh Wednesday Was decidedly rough and unpleasant, but nevertheless there Was (Illite a good muster for Newton King, Ltd.'s sole at Dudley Road. A considerable humbet of youhg stock was yarded, and though the majority sold, the sale Was a slowone. WAIKATO MARKET. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co.. Ltd., Hamilton, tepoft Beef has been coming forward in fair supply, with competition steady, at late values. Mutton is also in fair supply. Values are 0.1 a par with those lately rUllrtg. Not many shorn lots have so far appeared on the market. Store Cattle.—The probable rise mentioned in crat last report has eventuated and everywhere n much brighter torie Is observed. All classes of stock have shared in the advance which js filoSt marked in empty cows and yearling steers. Forward conthlioned bullocks are much sought after and good empty heifers still maintain thOlf popularity. Empty Cows are in brisk demand. The prevailing fancy at present seems to be to put these back to the bull again this season. Yearling steers have advanced with great rapidity which was not unexpected in View of thelf recent marked neglect. Stofte Sheep.—There Is a slight enquiry for sheep off fthenH. EWps With IfthlbS have somewhat. slackened. Speaking generally there seems very little stability in the sheep market. Dairy cattle still continue to sell freely if close to profit. That essential feature, condition, is, however, sadly lacking. rigs have considerably declined in value, the heavy yafdlhgs no doubt partly accounting for this. The custom of bringifig pigs to the yards seems to be gaining in popularity antongftt farmers. Returns indicate that they are not losers thereby. We quote as follows: Bullocks, heavy prime £ll to £l3 10s, medium £9 to £10; cows, heavy £6 to £7, medium £4 10s to £5 10s, forward £2 10s to £4; steers, 4-year best £6 to £6 10s, Jj-year best £4 to £5, 2-year best £2 10s to £3 ss; heifers, 2-year empty £5 to £6 10s; cows, store £1 10s to £3; heifers, r.w.b. 3-yeaf Shorthorn £l2 to £l7, 2-year £9 10s to £l2 10s; dairy cows, best £l9 to £25, second quality £lO to £ IS; steers, yearlings best £1 15s to £2 12s 6d, yearlings medium £1 to £1 15s; heifers, yearlings best £3 10s to £4 15s, yearlings medium £2 10s to £ 3 ss; ewes with lambs by Itomney rams 15s to £l, ewes with lambs by Southdown rams £1 is to £1 4s, wethers, prime 20s to 245, medium 17s 6d to 19g 6d; ewes, prime 15s to 17s 6dj wethers, forward 4-tootl: 14s to 10s, forward 2-tooth 12s to 13s; ewes, forward 8s to 9s, store 5s to 6s 6d; lambs, fat 16s to 18s Gd, store best 8s (Id to 10s 6d, store medium 5s 6d to 7s 6d; pigs, baconets £4 10s to £5 lOs, porkers £2 10s to £3 10s, good slips £1 10s to £2 10s, weaners 6s to £1; hofses, heavy draughts £45 to £B5, medium draughts £3O to £4O, light draughts £22 to £3O, harness horses £l2 to £2O, hacks £6 to £lO.
