Extra choice ox £1 15s; choice and prime, £1 13s to £1 9s; plain, £1 5s to 15s; cows, young prime, £1 9s to £1 4s; ordinary, £1 3s to 16s. Sheep.—A fair yarding; prices on a par with last week. Extra heavy wether £1 3s; prime, £1 2s to 18s 6d; unfinished, 17s to 14s 6d; ewes, prime to 17s; good, 16s 6d to 13s 6d. Calves.—A large yarding and keen competition, especially for good vealers. Runners, £5 to £4; vealers, £3 10s to £2 10s; fresh dropped, 10s to ss. Pigs.—A large yarding; finished, pigs showed a further decline. Baconers £5 to £3 15s; choppers, £4 10s to £3; porkers, £2 10s to £1 10s; stores were neglected, except wearers, which realised 16s to 23s for good Lambs.—A large yarding, in excess of the demand. Exxtra good, 255; prime, 21s to 13s; oti'ers, 12s to Bs. THE WOOL MARKET. ADVANCES AT SYDNEY SALE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 19, 9.35 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 19. The difficulty in connection with, the wool sales has been overcome, and the sales were resumed. There was animated competition Merinos were 10 to 20 per cent, above the September rates, while crossbreds were par to 5 per cent, advance. Similar advances were recorded at the’ sales Adelaide. LONDON SALES. Received Oct. 19, 9.55 p.m. i London, Oct. 18. At the mixed wool salts bidding was hardly so keen, apart fronai one or two of the best clips, but prices \ were generally well maintained. Stipes were rather weak, and some were withdrawn. f The Colonial Wool Merchants' Association ha.v cabled Mr. Hughes (chairman of tlie Wool Appeal Board) protesting against the extension of the Customs regulations beyond November 9. They consider any extension would be unost detrimental to the whole wool industry.
