ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
FALL FROM THIRD FLOOR WINDOW By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Oct. 15. At an early hour this morning the body of E. F. Gould, constructional engineer, was found lying in the gutter outside the Empire Hotel in Willis Street. It was apparent that Gould had fallen from his room on the third floor of the hotel. An examination of dccea-sed’s room showed that the blind of the front window was torn, indicating that he had overbalanced and fallen through the windqw. At the time of the accident he was dressed, only in a smoking jacket. Death must have been instantaneous. Deceased was about 50 years of age, and had been staying at the Empire Hotel for about four months, having come to Wellington from San Francisco. Investigations made at a later hour indicated that the affair was purely an accident. SUDDEN DEATH AT BATHS. Wellington, Last Night. Allan Steele Ramsay, 45 years of age, dropped dead in the Te Aro baths this morning.
