CONFERENCE CONTINUES. NO REPORT ISSUED. RESUMPTION TO-DAY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Oct. 16, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct 16 The Irish Conference adjourned till Monday. A deputation from the Irish constabulary urged Sir Hamar Greenwood that in the event of an Irish settlement their claims to a compensation pension should be remembered. Sir Hamar Greenwood made a sympathetic reply. Sir James Craig, addressing the Unionist Labor Association in Belfast, said he knew there was an uneasy feeling over the present situation, but his Government would not fail in its duty to the people of the country and the Empire. Sinn Fein would not be allowed to sweep over their country; no matter what happened there would be peace in six counties.
