SPORTING.
T.J.C. COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Taranaki Jockey Club Committee was hold last night. Present: —■ Messrs. L A Nolan (chairman), W. C. Weston, J. McLeod, G; Fraser, A. Alexander, A. R. Standish, and B. H. Chaney. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs. W. P. Nicoll and L. B. Webster. The transfer of a Mountain Light—Mangaroa gelding engaged in the Bth Taranaki Stakes, was approved. Mr. L. Rea was appointed totallsator overseer for the season. It was decided to make a donation of £lO 10a to the Salvation Anmy.
