AIR ADVENTURE.
ROUND THE WORLD FLIGHT. SIR KEITH SMITH'S PLANS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 3. Sir Keith Smith, interviewed by the Daily News, said he hoped he and his brother would begin their proposed “round the world flight” in the summer of 1922. Plans and arrangements were not completed, and the route and machine were not decided. Besides the route via Siam, which they followed on their Australian flight, three others were possible, firstly, via northern Japan, where there were the difficulties of floating ice, secondly, across the Pacific to Honolulu and San Francisco, which would involve a flight of thousands of miles over the ocean, thirdly, via the South Sea Islands to South America, where there were bad landings. If the flight begins in the East, the Siam route will probably be chosen. PARER HAS MORE TROUBLE. Melbourne, Oct. 3. Parer had trouble with his engine, which developed knocking, on the way to Adelaide irf his second attempt at a flight round Australia. The flight was interrupted.
