PUBLIC SERVCE THEFTS.

FURTHER CASES EXPECTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 30. On inquiry at the Public Service Commissioner’s office to-day regarding the action taken in Christchurch in regard to the State Coal Office case, a reporter was informed that it was the Commissioner’s decision that in every case of defalcation there should be an investigation of the whole of the attendant circumstances. There is a right to appeal against the finding of the Commissioner.

It is understood that two other cases in which defalcations are alleged to have taken place have just been discovered.
