TRADE AT THE PORT.
EXPORT OF PRODUCE. THIS MONTH’S ARRIVALS. Meat exported from Taranaki by the Federal liner Dorset, which sailed for London, via Wellington, yesterday, amounted to 5580 boxes of boneless beef. The vessel also took a quantity of tallow, of which 248 casks were consigned. A shipment of 8246 boxes of butter made up the total cargo. The Dorset is the first of four overseas vessels which visit the port during September, which is a busy month for thia class of trade. The Easterner (U.S. and A. line) arrives to-day from America, via ports, with a cargo of ossa oil, and leaves about the middle of next week for Australia. Shortly afterwards the Waikawa from Vancouver and ’Frisco, via New Zealand ports, is to arrive with inward cargo, and closely fol-, lowing this vessel will be the Port Lyttelton, which is to take another load of produce. The Port Lyttelton’s arrival has been delayed to September 28.
